The option that we have here, excuse me, the example we have here on Option B is Mom, who is a federal employee. He's currently 59 years old, and his salary is $75,000 per year. Now, you'll notice that he has B times five, again that's multiples of the salary, and the death benefit is $375,000 ($75,000 times 5). Now, as we move on down here, we're going to see that his current cost is $162.50 per month. Now, I know on your pay stubs it's quoted as a per pay period cost, but I have calculated this as a monthly cost because most of us think about our costs on a monthly basis. So, current cost is $162.50 per month. Now, you will notice as Bob gets older, the costs are going to rise, and they don't rise just a little bit. They rise quite dramatically.
